Thoughts While ShavingStormy weather still in our forecast for today, mainly before 11 AM.  We can expect rain (70%), wind with gusts up to 40mph, before becoming mostly sunny later today. Rainfall totals are all over the board depending on location.  At the Hester household, about 1.5 inches as of 6 AM.  Higher amounts at the Curtis Brown airport, according to the National Weather Service.
It has been one of those nights, woke up early, peeped out the window, back to bed, thoughts of this, that and the other, up again and began to read newspapers statewide.  Now, yawn all day long.

Most are part of larger organizations.  Very few independent, locally owned remain.  Included in that group, Whiteville News Reporter and Dunn paper, 2 quality news papers, my opinion.
Weather permitting, the Masters Golf Tournament begins today.  Fairmont native William McGirt makes his debut.  He qualified by winning the Jack Nicklaus Memorial Tournament last year.  Dustin Johnson, Myrtle Beach native and one of the favorites tumbled down a stairway in a rented home yesterday in Augusta, Ga.  His decision to play or not expected later today.  He reportedly suffered back injuries.
Azaleas Festival underway in Wilmington.
