Tar Heel and Wolfpack fans can now take a deep breath….both teams struggled to advance in the NCAA play-offs….NCSU will play Villanova Saturday at 7:10 p.m. and the Tar Heels take on the Razorbacks of Arkansas at 8:40 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday)Duke plays Robert Morris at 7:10 this p.m. Davidson plays Iowa at 7:20 p.m. Coastal Carolina, Virginia, Notre Dame, Belmont, Davidson are among the teams to play today or tomorrow…Not sure who I missed….
We have some good farmers in the area….their land is being prepared for planting, the hedge rows are cut and the ditches cleaned….and soon tiny green plants will “burst” thru….Spring time is a wonderful time of the year….
If you have heard the “no tax increase” rhetoric by our distinguished NC Legislature in recent years, you obviously have not prepared your 2014 NC State Tax Forms…..Deductions have disappeared…..That, my friend, is a tax increase for the majority….Big business apparently fared well..and more cuts are proposed for them…..Low and medium income workers appear to have few friends in the NC Legislature. Rural areas appear to be taking a “whipping.” Upper income, big business and urban areas appear to be doing well….
