The 2018 White Lake Water Festival is underway and weather permitting, it will continue all day long and into the night. Organizers have had to deal with more issues than normal. First, concerns about the water in the lake, mid-week, the all clear signal was declared, and today, it’s the weather, and rain is needed. Would be nice if it would be delayed a few hours. Whatever will be, will be.

Bladen County Commissioners meet Monday, 6:30 PM in the courthouse…regular meeting and open to the public. 2018-19 fiscal year budget will be discussed and numerous appointments to various boards and commissions will take place. One unique to the Kelly area is a representative to the Kelly Water Dike and Drainage Committee. The only such committee in the county, but very important to residents of that area. Across this huge county (land-wise), communities are uniquely different.
