Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love
Winter has officially arrived, as of yesterday.  Sunrise this AM was 7:17 and sunset at 5:07 PM, or 9 hours and 50 minutes of daylight.
First day of partial shutdown by federal government, not sure if I should be happy or sad, sad I think that all the smart folks we elected can’t get it right.  President told opposition party recently he would gladly take the blame, today he is blaming the opposition party.  My feelings for what it’s worth, all are guilty…Would be nice if both parties played ‘grown up’ for a while.  Try persuading Mexico to build the wall…wasn’t that the original promise?
One more thought…It’s the economy stupid…remember that comment years ago.  Hasn’t changed.
Closer to home, bad news continues…We have numerous articles we have gleaned from sources across the state and nation, all on our News page…click on ‘Politics and elections under fire in Bladen County’….bad news travels fast…and it continues…
Approaching the final few days of the ‘Light Show’ for 2018 at Lu Mil.  Google their site for remaining days and hours.
Still have some shopping to do????  Hopefully you begin locally….
Remember when just about all local merchants advertised ‘free wrapping’, and how about lay-a-ways, another service that you seldom, if ever hear about?…
Oh well, this time next week, Christmas will have come and gone and our thoughts begin to turn to tax issues, filing, listing and paying taxes…..and making New Years Resolutions…
In the meantime, hum along…’Christmas times a-coming and I know it won’t be long’……
What’s your favorite Christmas tune?  Silent Night, Joy to the World, Drummer Boy, The Frist Noel, White Christmas, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Deck the Halls, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Blue Christmas, O Holy Night, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year…..or another?….
