Spread the love

Yesterday, I checked my Bladenboro High School ‘Weaver ’56’, annual yearbook, the year I graduated. Just enjoy ‘flipping thru’ from time to time, reminiscing, wonder if so and so is still alive. … Best I could tell, about 58 or so graduated and about half of them are alive. I also checked the list of sponsors for our annual, we had between 85 and 90 listed as sponsors and of that number, about 6, maybe 8 are still in business, some operating under a different name.

The September edition of Our State magazine features a short article and some pics of the Taylor family at Lu Mil. Not listed in the article, but a date to remember. … The NC Grape Festival will be held Saturday, October 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lu Mil.

Bladen County Public Schools District Wide Open House set for August 22 at all schools in the county. Click here for more info, times vary at the various locations.

Many of us enjoy good health. Oh. a few aches and pains as we age, but some suffer daily, hourly. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

So many good folks work hard every week, and just can’t seem to ‘get ahead.’ The gap tends to grow between the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’. Oh, I know, some don’t want to work, but many do work hard and have little to show for their efforts.

Hope your weekend is good!
