Thoughts While Shaving for August 20

Many farmers are busy gathering corn … Hopefully a good crop.

Do some folks kinda ‘get under your skin’? Can usually understand and deal with the majority … but that one-half of one percent…

Sure will be happy when there is a return to near normal … will be a while, think most agree, nothing close to normal until medication that deals with COVID-19. And, most think it will be after the first of 2021 … Praying for a miracle.

One down and one to go for political conventions … I decided to stay on the sidelines this political convention season … Oh, I will vote … Unaffiliated, can vote for folks on both sides of the aisle.

Remember political campaigns of earlier years?

TV stations should be ‘rolling in’ the cash, from both parties and candidates…

One of the things I miss most about this time of year is high school football. Dreamed of broadcasting a high school football game most of last night … in Lakewood, of all places … Not that it was bad, but over the 50 years of broadcasting games, very few at that school.

Thankful for doctors … of all types as I grow older … Just want to know they are there, if needed … I am among men, most richly blessed.

Inspiring quotes to get you through quarantine:

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” Maya Angelou

“To lose patience is to lose the battle.” Mahatma Gandhi

“The ingredients of health and long life are great temperance, open-air, easy labor, and little care.” Philip Sydney
