Thoughts While Shaving for August 5

I was a little surprised when I checked the National Weather Service website yesterday to see that winds speeds were not higher … the highest recorded at the local airport was 51 mph … Saw where one neighbor recorded 2 inches of rain, I had 3 inches and 4 inches at the airport … Scattered showers!!!!

Hurricane Isaias came and went quickly … Actually, I was surprised at the number of folks without electricity … We were fortunate in our neighborhood…

I am thankful I am not an elected official … No one seems to be happy … And, free advice is plentiful, no matter the topic. If you want to make decisions for the masses, put your name on the ballot, tell your story and if you get the most votes, congratulations, you make the decisions and listen to those who disagree … and most are not bashful…

Spent a part of yesterday picking up twigs, leaves, etc. … Hot and humid … I thought about folks who make a living working outside … can be tough…

Have you noticed days are getting shorter?

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 continues to rise … hopefully the growth has slowed…

I wear a mask most of the time when in a crowd, but do not care to … My glasses fog up … Best excuse I have … but, if it keeps me from having the virus, I plan to continue…

“Often when you think you’re at the end of something, you’re at the beginning of something else.”

“This too shall pass.”
