Robert Taylor is the new Mississippi State Superintendent of Education … Big move for former Bladen County Superintendent of Schools. He resigned his local position several years ago to join the staff of a new North Carolina State Superintendent, and now he is moving on to the top spot in Mississippi … He is a native of Laurel, Mississippi, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Mississippi. We wish him well…
Newly elected local officials are assuming their new positions, several effective this week…
Folks in Moore County have a ‘mess’ … someone apparently destroyed their electrical power plants … and state and local officials think it was a deliberate action … Thousands of folks in the area have no electric power and haven’t had since sometime over the past weekend … Hopefully everything will be restored soon and the guilty will be charged…
Can’t help but wonder what is next … We are better than that, well most are…
We finally have a Christmas tree at our house … better late than never … or better never late…
