Don’t know about you, but filing season for political offices ‘kinda’ slipped up on me … begins at 12 noon, Monday, December 4th (next Monday) and ends Friday, December 15 … Earliest, I ever remember … all about North Carolina joining other states in national primary elections … Candidates for local offices … Board of County Commissioners, Board of Education and other local office holders or wannabees file at local Board of Elections … US House, Senate, Governor, etc. must file in Raleigh … check to make sure … It’s filing time if you would like your name on the ballot … Best you check for details at the local Board of Elections…

No interest in this corner … been there and done that. Great experience … enjoyed, but 8 years was enough … Repeat … By all means check for more info … with the local Board of Elections … for details…

Oh, how the weather has changed … from low below freezing Thursday morning … 48 hours later, low in the low 60s … Welcome to Bladen…

Showers likely today, mainly after 5 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with a high near 72 … Chance of precipitation is 60% … Tonight, showers and possibly a thunderstorm … low around 62 … Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Sunday (Church Day) … 50% chance of rain (thunderstorms possible) … High near 75 and windy, gusts as high as 23 mph…

Early next week … Mostly sunny or clear with highs mostly in the 60s … Wednesday night, low near 33 … Welcome to our world.

Looks like Santa may arrive before our tree does … Oh, it’s here, just need ‘sprucing up.” Not high on the list of ‘Old Folks’…
