Thoughts While ShavingIn our new political environment, the truth is difficult to find sometimes.  Reasonable people can disagree with just the facts.

The Bladen County Board of Education will meet in Special Session, Monday, February 6, 5:30 p.m.  Topics of discussion include facility planning, new construction and consolidations.  A closed session is included to deal with personnel matters and for the mid-year evaluation of the Superintendent.

And on the topic of schools, site preparation is underway for the new Emereau Charter School located between US 87 and Airport Road, east of Elizabethtown.  Plans are to open the school in time for the 2017-18 school year.

Some friends suffering from ‘the crud’, stuffy feeling, nose running, coughing and sneezing.  Not really sick, but not feeling up to ‘par’.  Someone shared it with me.

Anyone in the public arena, is fair game for criticism.  Comes with the territory.

The annual Elizabethtown Dixie Youth Fundraiser is set for this afternoon at Elizabethtown Primary School.  Included is a delicious dinner and reverse raffle with a few items to be auctioned off.  All proceeds benefit  the upcoming baseball season.  Tickets are usually scarce, but you can call 910-876-4406 for late info.
