Thoughts While Shaving

Politics at every level is a hazardous profession … Happy I flushed my system many years ago … Served 8 years in the 70s and 80s, pre-internet, at the local level … For a while, had higher aspirations, but soon decided my appetite for politics was decreasing…

Spent a fair amount of time watching and listening to various media sources yesterday … some praising, some on the other end of the spectrum, defining our national situation … It’s a tough profession … We are a divided nation … And, we are not bashful…

And, if you aren’t happy, a new day will be dawning soon … Over the next few months we will begin a new cycle…

Thinking back over the years to the time when I was an elected official … No Amazon, no Apple, no Zoom … truthfully, computers were available, ’bout the size of a casket … few if any personal size … No Facebook, no Twitter, no Google and we survived … It’s a different world we live in today…

Have you had your COVID-19 vaccination? Not available to many … Had positive responses from folks at the local level … good service at the Bladen County Health Department and we, my bride and I, had good service at Bladen County Hospital … both need more medication … Hopefully that issue will be solved sometime soon…

Weather forecast is for mostly cloudy, today … high near 55, windy with gusts as high as 16 mph … Patchy fog tonight, otherwise, mostly cloudy with a low around 40…
