I think of my days at the local radio station from time to time … Many rules have changed … Our time on the air was adjusted monthly, depending on the length of the day … Sign on late and off early in December, January and February. And, when the tower lights were not working, had a few hours to notify FAA and other agencies … was told we were in the flight pattern for the airport. … If lights out, about $200 for someone to climb the tower and replace a bulb … hopefully that was all … Can’t image the cost today … thankful it is not my responsibility.
Found an old, small laptop … Spent some time to see if I could make it useful again … Bet there are a thousand or more email addresses … Been deleting … and thinking about some of those attached to the addresses. Many deceased, many folks I met statewide in a previous position. … Ever think of how many folks cross out path in a lifetime? … Most, very good folks … occasionally someone you do not miss…
