The best part of any trip for me is pulling into my driveway … I love calling Bladen County, NC home…

Rain came down … between 6 and 9 p.m. last evening. About a half inch recorded at the NWS station at the Curt Brown Airport … and another very brief shower about 11 p.m.

Have you been watching the Olympics? Earlier today, medal count had USA leading with 30, China had 24 followed by Japan with 20 … constantly changing…

Was hoping we would not be encouraged to wear masks again … Crap happens, Yep, I will wear as suggested…

July 2021 is slipping away … First day of August is Sunday … Checking normal highs and lows for both months…

Average August high in Bladen County is 87 degrees compared with 89 in July.
Average August low is 65 compared with 67 degrees in July.
Average rainfall … July 5.5 inches compared with 5.8 inches in August…

I can imagine the issues local school boards are dealing with … attempting to be safe and protected … and provide much needed instruction time … The first day of school for Bladen County Public Schools is August 23, according to their calendar…

First day of school for Emereau Charter School is Monday, August 2, 2021, according to their calendar…

If you travel NC 87 bypass … be aware of some re-paving underway … near airport…
