Slept through most of the thunderstorm. A check with the National Weather Service at the local airport indicates a little over an inch of rain, about half that at the Hester household. It began about midnight in the Elizabethtown area and ended after 3 AM. Totals will likely vary greatly.
Checking the forecast for July 4th. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Chance of precipitation, 40 percent. A better way to describe it, a 60 percent chance of no rain.
