Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Looking at the stock market, checking retirement investments, and for those ‘stashing’ cash away for a rainy day … times are not good … and no one has done anything wrong … best I can tell, all related to coronavirus that is attacking from ‘sea to shining sea’ … worldwide.

Pray it will soon be over, that new treatments will soon be available and we are soon, as a nation and world, past this situation. … I plan to stay close home … doesn’t mean I will not suffer from the illness, but as a retiree, my contacts are less than most … and older folks are apparently more vulnerable.

Thought of the old Ray Charles tune … “It’s Cryin’ Time Again” … and the Ray Stevens tune … “Don’t Look Ethel” … not making light of the situation … better to look on the bright side.

Locally, activities continue and they are countywide. … Bladenboro is sponsoring another fundraiser Saturday for one of their own, Clarkton is preparing for another event, Dublin area residents are sponsoring an ‘oyster roast’ fundraiser at Lu Mil, Bladen We Care has announced dates of their fundraisers, Elizabethtown White Lake Chamber of Commerce has announced dates and groups that will be entertaining, beginning soon. Kelly folks planning a Spring event … and time for the annual Farm show in the Ammon community … and no doubt are others … just kinda, shootin’ from the hip, leaning on my memory, that fails to function sometimes…

Check BladenOnline Events page, the Chamber of Commerce website and others for dates, times, etc. Bladen is a busy place…

“Never be so busy as not to think of others.” Mother Teresa

“When someone tells you they are to ‘busy’ … It’s not a reflection of their schedule; It’s a reflection of YOUR spot on their schedule” Steve Maraboli

“Have you noticed that even the busiest people are never too busy to take time to tell you how busy they are?” Bob Talbert
