The West High School Battle of the Books team was crowned the Bladen County Schools Battle of the Books team on Monday after an intense competition with Bladen County Early College. The team will represent Bladen County at the Regional Battle of the Books competition in Hoke County on April 30.
Members of the team are Coach Celeste Lennon, Tamia Barber, Walter Baxley, Garrison Carr, Janet Chavez, Neida Romero Pena and Salma Sandoval Cruz.
