Tonight, patchy fog between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with a low around 54. Thursday, patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 83 and southwest wind in the 5 to 15 mph range with gusts as high as 25 mph. Friday’s high temp near 88 degrees.

Last night’s low was in the low 40s, 43 at 4 a.m.

NCAA Sweet 16 teams will be in action beginning tomorrow (Thursday). When was the last time there was Sweet 16 action with no North Carolina team? Oh, it has happened. One remaining ACC team, Miami of Florida.

Farmers are busy preparing land for planting…

Looking ahead, a year from now elections for public offices from the courthouse to the state house to Washington, D.C.

When was the last time a candidate for US Congress ran from Bladen County? I have no idea. No serious candidate in many years…

I do know that as of 2022, Bladen County had about 22,000 registered voters, about 9,700 registered Democrats, about 5,100 registered Republicans and about 7,000 unaffiliated voters.

Municipal elections upcoming later this year … General elections 2024.
