When I hear some of the TV medical drug commercials, think the cure may be worse than the illness.
The public and our representatives at various levels of government seem to be all over the chart when it comes to attempting to solve problems. Saw an article recently where a former member of the NC Legislature, who is back in the chamber, was quoted as saying during his prior term, representatives of different areas of the state, different parties would attempt to work out differences, even after hours, for the good of the public, now, no such effort, some do not want to be seen speaking to members of the other party. Shameful.
I think of how US Sen. Oren Hatch (R) of Utah and Sen. Edward Kennedy (D) of Mass, reportedly, would challenge each other, but eventually they would get together, work on an issue and even co-sponsored legislation that passed for the good of all.
Differences do not have to be personal. From Tea Party to the far left, we must learn to live together. Neither have a lock on all the good ideas, despite what some think.
I see good folks, expressing their feelings on Facebook, using language not heard in church. Suggestion…before you pass on some extreme, hurtful political thoughts, check Fact Check.

My friend, former walking partner for over 25 years has returned home following a near fatal accident nearly 2 years ago. Yesterday, Janice Johnson moved from Burgaw Hospital Extended Care to Elizabethtown Nursing Home to continue her recovery. She was involved in a 2 vehicle accident 9-11-14 near Bladen Community College.
Thanks for the response to the possibility of a new industry in Bladen County. The next visit by company officials will be this week.
