Interesting weekend … a brief rain shower at our house … maybe a tenth of an inch, none recorded at the NWS official weather site a the Curtis Brown airport.
NASCAR had a ‘for TV only” event in Darlington, SC. Top 5 finishers included:
#1 Kevin Harvick
#2 Alex Bowman
#3 Kurt Busch
#4 Chase Elliott
#5 Denny Hamlin
At least 2 more races this week at Darlington, Infinity Series race Tuesday (8 PM), and a Cup Series (7:30 PM) Wednesday … all leading up to the 600 mile race at Charlotte next Sunday at 6 PM.
No fans in the stands, at least the season is underway…
Another made for TV sporting event was held yesterday, PGA Taylor Made Relief fundraiser. McIlroy-Johnson vs Fower-Wolff. Winner was charity … all in all about $4 million was raised for charity…
Again, made for TV … no fans. Unusual, but it is a new beginning.
Will be interesting to see if numbers continue to rise related to Coronavirus … if they rise, more quickly, or not. More testing is being conducted…
NFL practice facilities and Major League Baseball are making moves toward resuming, but will take time … hopefully, weeks, not months…
‘Bout time for noise related to businesses closing for good, including more bankruptcies. That’s tough for folks who have worked so hard to make a dream come true, only to see it go away, and due to no fault of their own.
Reminder, Bladen County Commissioners meet tonight…
#2 son has driven food delivery truck for over a million miles without an accident. He doesn’t want anything said about it, so I will not say more … except, we are proud…
A chance of showers before 2 p.m. today … Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82 … winds gusting up to 18 mph … 30% chance of rain.
Train your mind to see the good in everything … Happy Monday.
Every day may not be GOOD, but there is GOOD in every day.
The comeback is always stronger than the setback.
