Thoughts While Shaving

Memorial Day weekend, 2021 … Think back a year … so much has changed, but hopefully most of the bad is in the past. We all have our shots, right??? … going unmasked is mostly OK … It has been a tough 12 months, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Hope you and yours will enjoy a few days off, hopefully at the lake (White Lake) or at the beach, maybe in the mountains, some place where you can relax … Be safe…

Saw the warning flags flying at the beach … no such flags at White Lake … but it was windy yesterday…

At least we can all get out and move around, much needed.

And back to the topic of ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ … Dang beavers have been busy in the Happy Valley pond … stopped up the drainage pipes … good thing we have had no rain, pond is full … debris needs to go … volunteers needed…

Hope to see our first great-grand daughter today … ’bout 2 months old, excited…

Back to the coronavirus issue, can’t seem to get away from the topic … Some confusion about where to wear a mask … I assume no mask needed, but have one in my pocket, just in case…

Checking the weather … A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. today. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 90. Southwest wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. 40% chance of rain … Same type forecast for tonight, 40% chance of rain with a low near 59. Sunday, mostly cloudy with a high near 73. Memorial Day forecast is for sunny with a high near 82.

“A nation that does not honor it’s heroes, will not long endure.” Abraham Lincoln

“Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.” Mark Twain

“Memorial Day! I am proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the ones who died, that gave my right for me. God Bless America!”
