It has been an interesting weekend up to this time … The crowning of a new King in England.
And I watched as noted author Bob Woodward spoke to a Canadian audience about his relationship with past presidents including President Donald Trump … I enjoyed it, but some will not … and over the years I have not participated in such discussions at any level, local, state and national. Haven’t always done that … Registered unaffiliated … after serving 8 years as County Commissioner … ending in mid 80s … I listen, but have not participated in the political arena since. Actually was employed for nearly 25 years representing a statewide organization … I discovered neither party has a lock on all the good ideas…
I respect, but not always agree with Woodward, but enjoy listening to his thoughts … He was speaking recently to a Canadian audience about President Trump … Topic was ‘Truth and Trump’. According to Woodward, he and the past president spoke often, daily if both were in D.C, especially near the end of the President’s presidency. It’s on YouTube, you can Google … and judge for yourself…
Woodward has written about presidents for many years, both political parties.
Did not watch much of the crowning of King Charles. Estimates of costs range from over $100 million, to as high as $150 million and the tab is picked up by the citizens of the nation. Maybe a good deal, I have no idea … His mom served in that capacity for 70 years and 214 days … the longest serving Queen in the nation’s history…
Oh yes, topped off the day watching the Kentucky Derby … Some event…
It’s Sunday … Church Day … If all goes as planned, I will be there…
