The Bladenboro Benefit Committee is sponsoring a BBQ fundraiser for 3 area residents … Ritchie Priest, Greg Packer and Patricia Bullock. About as much activity as you will see any time of the year … today…

It’s Veterans Day … reminder, all solid waste collection sites around the county will be open, regular hours … but, the transfer station in Elizabethtown will be closed … re-opens Monday.

I mentioned the Clarkton Woodmen of the World committee recently donating to Bladen We Care … They also donated to an effort to place flags on the graves of veterans, county-wide … Oliver Gause is kind of a one person committee placing those flags all across the area … We all know that is an almost impossible task, but he does more than anyone I am aware of … When you see the flags waving on the graves … most likely he placed them there, with some financial assistance by civic minded groups like the Clarkton WOW committee and supporters of veterans in the area…

So much to cover and so little time … Probably missed something else … important.
