Friday … for years I looked forward to Friday night high school football … This year not a normal year…

Speaking of football … Brandon Council, of Tar Heel, former West Bladen player, is expected to be starting on the offensive line for #13-ranked Auburn University tomorrow. Auburn is favored by almost three touchdowns against the Razorbacks of Arkansas … Auburn, 1-1, lost to Georgia 26-7 in their last outing and Arkansas surprised Mississippi, winning 21-14 breaking a 20-game SEC losing streak. Could be a closer game than first expected. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN. Look for #71.

NFL Thursday night results … Chicago Bears 20 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19.

Think most are tired of coronavirus, but it has not gone away and not likely to go away until medication is readily available … ’bout the only good thing I can think of is worship services are on the internet … and we can go to most any church site throughout the week and view and listen … My bride and I watched the recent funeral service for Bladenboro businessman Billy Ray Fisher … Never pleasant to lose a good citizen, but good we could view and listen to his funeral services … Bladenboro 1st Baptist church site…

Small businesses and individuals continue to struggle due the the pandemic … Stock market is doing well…

Remember the old hymn … “We Will Understand it Better Bye and Bye”…

“We are what we believe we are.” C.S. Lewis

“In our own case we accept excuses too easily; in other people’s, we do not accept them easily enough.” C.S. Lewis

“One road leads home and a thousand roads lead into the wilderness.” C.S. Lewis
