Thought about the recent Dublin Festival, and the upcoming events in Elizabethtown and Bladenboro. It’s important for local folks to work together on such events … and many locals do it … Remember the Clarkton Tobacco Festival … long running – fun time.
I remember … a long time ago when I ran for public office … (mid 70s) … I was pushed down highway 87 in a Tar Heel (parade) in a wheelbarrow by a nice lady … Not my idea … I was prepared to be ‘spilled’ on the highway … Fortunately, we made it all the way … no issues.
A reminder … Infant car seat check-up event Saturday, September 23 … 10 a.m. to 12 noon … at the Elizabethtown Fire Department … Bring child and car seat … certified technicians will show and tell how to install seats in your vehicle … correctly … at no cost to you…
