ROSEBORO – Senior Keira Lewis battered the Lakewood defense with 26 attacks, 13 kills, 11 service points and a block to lead West Bladen to a 3-0 non-conference volleyball victory Monday night over the Lady Leopards by set scores of 25-23, 25-18 and 25-22.
Freshman Greer Pope sparked the Lady Knight offense with 24 assists, 5 attacks, 3 service points and a kill. Senior Trinity Meares hammered in 18 attacks, 11 service points including an ace, 3 kills and had 2 digs. Senior Jenna McLean smacked in 15 attacks, 6 service points including 2 aces, 4 kills and had a dig.
Lady Knight junior Marlene Crabtree knocked in 14 attacks, 4 kills and 5 service points including 2 aces. Junior Marlie Walters pounded in 8 attacks, 4 kills and a service point. Juniors Holland Davis and Alina Chavez contributed 4 attacks each, and Davis had a kill.Sophomore Emme Bryant rang up 4 service points including an ace, 2 attacks and 2 digs.
Coach Gaye Davis’ Lady Knights raised their record to 6-7 and will visit Midway Tuesday night.
