Three Bladen County All-Star teams will be competing in StateWide Activities Committee State Softball Tournaments in Tarboro this weekend.

The 16-and-Under Bladen All-Stars did not have a sectional qualifying tournament and will open play in the state tourney Friday night at 7:30 against Warren County.

Members of the Bladen 16U All-Stars are: Taylor West, Lauren Pait, Hannah Pait, Briley Stanley, Kylee Ward, Olivia Allen, Hailey Guyton, Kadance Hammonds, Taylor Lewis, Kaitlynn Brisson, MacKenzie Singletary, Madison Taylor, and Kennedy Carroll.

Coaches are Mackie Singletary, Pam Stephens, Jamie Singletary and Taylor Stephens.

Bladen County 12U All-Stars

The 12-and-Under Bladen All-Stars battled back from the loser’s bracket Sunday and defeated Wake Forest twice, 20-8 and 9-8, to win the Sectional Tournament at Holly Springs.

Saturday, Bladen County will open its state tournament schedule at 10:30 a.m. against the second-place finisher from the Liberty Sectional.

Members of the Bladen 12U All-Stars are: Karly Ross, Emmee Ward, Reagan Moore, Lena Trinidad, Megan Pait, Violet Allen, Brookee Singletary, Molly Pait, Martha Simmons, Marlie Walters, Marlene Crabtree and Mary Frances Sutton.

Coaches are Jamie Singletary, Mackie Singletary, and Heather Pait.

Bladen County 10U All-Stars

The 10-and-Under Bladen All-Stars survived a grueling tripleheader in the heat Sunday and defeated Nash County 17-12 and 14-13 to win the Sectional Tournament at Holly Springs.

Bladen County begins play in the state tournament at 2 p.m. Saturday against the second-place finisher from the Liberty Sectional.

Members of the 10U All-Stars are: Bella Robinson, Brenna Hester, Gracey Clark, Kali Allen, Aubrei Nixon, Leea Wilkins, Niyah Wooten, Tatum Allen, Jenna Brice, Taylor Dowless, Greer Pope, Karlee Gause and Addison Wilcox.

Coaches are Alex Barbour, Jamie Brice and David Allen.

The tournament is being played at the Indian Lake Sports Complex at 3300 Western Blvd in Tarboro.
