Here are Three Things to Know for Saturday, November 14:
1. The National Weather Service has extended its flood warning through Wednesday for portions of the Cape Fear River, including William O. Huske Lock and Dam 3 near the Bladen/Cumberland County border and Elizabethtown near Tory Hole Park. Moderate flooding is forecast along the river.
2. The red-hot Wake Forest football team (4-2), which has won four straight, will be in Chapel Hill today to play the North Carolina Tar Heels (5-2). Game time is noon and will be televised on the ACC Network. Tonight, N.C. State hosts Florida State at 7:30 p.m. also on the ACC Network.
3. Virtual Candlelight Tour: Saturday, Nov. 21, 6 p.m., Moores Creek National Battlefield via Facebook (click here). Park staff and volunteers will tell stories surrounding the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge fought Feb. 27, 1776.
