An old tradition was begun again Thursday at Vineyard Golf At White Lake. It is called “The Thundering Herd.”
The Herd was started over 30 years ago. It begins in May and continues through October. It is a Captain’s Choice nine hole tournament. Anyone interested in playing is asked to call the pro shop at 910-247-6132. The organizer every Thursday is David Beyer.
The Thursday winners, shooting 8 under par, were Pam Davis, John Fedronko, Ben Davis and Peyton Tatum. In second place, shooting 7 under par, were Mike Chuchacz, Jerry Padrick, Jim Hancock and Pierce Melvin.
