WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued the following statement after the White House issued its immigration framework:
“I applaud the President for releasing a realistic framework that meets the four immigration pillars agreed to by both Republican and Democratic leaders earlier this month.
“The framework proposes policies supported by both parties and the American people: securing our borders, providing long-term certainty for DACA-eligible youth, and making our immigration system more merit-based.
“Congress needs to get this done for the good of our nation.”
