two_atl_0d0The tropical storm warnings for Tropical Storm Colin have been cancelled.  There still will be a high risk of rip currents along the beaches today, said Meteorologist Reid Hawkins of the National Weather Service Office in Wilmington. 

As of 8 a.m. Tropical Storm Colin was located at 33.6 North 77.8 West and is moving northeast at 33 miles per hour. On the forecast track, the center of Colin should move near and parallel to the coast of North Carolina this morning, then offshore well east of the mid-Atlantic coast later today.

Tropical Storm Colin is expected to produce additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches across eastern North Carolina and central Florida through today.

A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect from Surf City to Oregon Inlet North Carolina.
