Bladen County Get out and VoteToday is Election Day all across North Carolina. Polls opened at 6:30 a.m. today (Tuesday, June 7) and will close at 7:30 p.m.  Don’t forget to bring your photo identification with you. For acceptable forms of identification, click here.

One race generating a lot of interest in Bladen County in the race for US Congress District 9 that feature incumbent Congressman Robert Pittenger against fellow Republicans Todd Johnson and Mark Harris.

There is also a nonpartisan primary race for the North Carolina Supreme Court Associate Justice. The judges seeking to be elected for that race are Michael R. “Mike” Morgan, Daniel Robertson, Robert H. “Bob” Edmunds and Sabra Jean Faires.

Voters who are registered Republican and reside in the 9th Congressional District will receive a ballot which features the contested race for the 9th Congressional District and this ballot will also allow voters the opportunity to vote for the NC Supreme Court Associate Justice seat.

Voters who reside in the Seventh Congressional District will only be able to vote the nonpartisan ballot for the NC Supreme Court Associate Justice.

Voters who are registered as unaffiliated may request either the nonpartisan ballot or the Republican ballot. Voters who are registered Democrat will be able to vote the nonpartisan ballot only.
