VIERA, FL – Bladenboro’s Ty Thurman batted 5-for-5 Saturday in a USSSA Tournament for the top 72 prospects in 11-and-under baseball at the Space Coast Complex. He received an invitation to the tournament after playing in the 2023 All-State Tournament for teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
Thurman belted 4 singles and a double and scored 4 runs as his team posted a pair of victories. He also pitched a scoreless inning and struck out 2 batters. His team will finish pool play Sunday.
