Tyson Foods, Inc. is recalling more than 3,120 pounds of frozen breaded chicken. The recall states the chicken may be contaminated with blue and clear soft plastic.

The company says the products were packaged on May 17, 2018. The recall applies to the 12 pound box containing 3 pound plastic bags labeled as “Uncooked, Breaded, Original Chicken Tenderloins” and they have lot code 1378NLR02.

The company said they decided on June 8th to issue the recall after the manufacturer of the breading mix issued a recall due to the mixture being contaminated with miscellaneous substances.

The company says the items were shipped to food service establishments nationwide and are not available for retail purchase.
