Every Thursday, the BladenOnline Team publishes a new video with recipes. In last’s week recipe video, Nicole and Charlotte had two special guests, 2021 West Bladen Graduate Cara Beth and 2021 East Bladen Graduate A.J.

The BladenOnline team visited 6 B’s Produce on Highway 701 near Clarkton to purchase some fruits and veggies for these recipes. For more information about 6 B’s Produce visit their Facebook page or call (910) 872-3321.

 

All together, prepared sautéed chicken with vegetables to celebrate the end of National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month! Also, for dessert, they had a peach cobbler.

Following are the ingredients and directions the team gave in the video.

Ingredients:

Sautéed chicken with vegetables:

  • Cutten chicken breasts.
  • Diced onions.
  • Zucchini.
  • Squash.
  • Oil.
  • Cosher salt.

Peach cobbler:

  • Peaches.
  • One cup of flour.
  • One cup of sugar.
  • One stick of butter.

Instructions:

Sautéed chicken with vegetables:

  • Put some oil in a pan and place it on the stove. Wait for your oil to get warm.
  • Add your onions.
  • Marinate your zucchini and squash with the onions.
  • Once those are sautéed, you can add the chicken. Don’t forget to put the lid on the pan, leaving a little space between them.
  • Stir it occasionally.
  • Tip: You can season with the seasoning of your election.

Peach Cobbler:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Put one cup of sugar and one cup of flour in a bowl and mix it up.
  • In a baking dish, place the peaches.
  • Sprinkle the mixed dry ingredients over the top of the peaches.
  • Melt the stick of butter.
  • Pour the melted butter over the peaches.
  • Put the dish into the oven.
  • After 10 minutes, stir it up to make sure it doesn’t have any dry flour spots. Put the range to 550 degrees.
  • Check it frequently until it is done.
