West Columbus 31, Tar Heel 15
CERRO GORDO – West Columbus raced to leads of 16-6 and 29-11 en route to a 42-18 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ basketball victory over Tar Heel.
I’Keir Murchison drained a 3-point shot, another basket and a free throw in the first quarter for the Panthers. Murchison added another basket in the second period, and Cornelius Esters bombed in a 3-point shot.
Murchison nailed a 3-point shot and another basket in the third quarter, and teammate Stefane Jessup flipped in a basket.
T. Jordan led West Columbus with 8 points. Murchison topped all scorers with 13 points for Tar Heel.
Tar Heel will travel to Whiteville Central Thusday.
