An author’s job is to open up to the world, get to know it, and give his opinion on it.
“Auctor” is the Latin root from which the word author originates. In the original meaning, “auctor” refers to the “source” or promoter of ideas. Similarly, the term auctor exposes the concept of a person who takes action in different contexts with a beneficial purpose.
The author’s power lies in transforming. Over time the belief has been formed that “the author” is the one who “creates” an idea. While it is true that many creations in today’s world have been the product of ingenious and imaginative authors, not every author is a creator. To create, it is necessary to give existence to something from nothing. However, an author needs to capture ideas already set in the outside world and from there produce his own vision. In other words, an author stands out for his ability to perceive and transform.
Although it may seem simple to many, the world is not easy to listen to. Every author, when formulating, looks for an idea that attracts him, and in most cases, passionates him. From here, the author establishes a purpose in what will be his authorship or “creation.” Consequently, the author will look for a direction by which he can better develop his idea. Indeed, not all authors are alike, and not all are focused on the same approach.
The writers are the most recognized type of authors. A writer works with words and expresses ideas through stories — including novels, short stories, poetry, essays, and even scenes in a play. A writer can venture into the world of communication through the production of ideas. Similarly, musical artists, painters, actors, scientists, and even cooks communicate with the world and express their ideas through different media.
An author is that individual who brings innovation to the world. While it is true that an author feeds on the ideas around him, he also brings a piece of his own perspective. The author contemplates life and is in charge of capturing what he learns from it.
This being the case, we are all considered the intellectual authors of our life. Our minds, as well as our way of behaving, are mainly influenced by society, but that does not limit us from distinguishing ourselves from each other. The tastes and preferences make each person a unique and particular being with an outstanding and noteworthy contribution as well.

El trabajo de un autor es abrirse al mundo, conocerlo y opinar sobre él.
“Auctor” es la raíz latina de la que se origina la palabra autor. En el sentido original, “auctor” se refiere a la “fuente” o promotor de ideas. De manera similar, el término auctor expone el concepto de una persona que actúa en diferentes contextos con un propósito beneficioso.
El poder del autor radica en transformar. Con el tiempo se ha ido formando la creencia de que “el autor” es quien “crea” una idea. Si bien es cierto que muchas creaciones del mundo actual han sido producto de autores ingeniosos e imaginativos, no todos los autores son creadores. Para crear, es necesario dar existencia a algo de la nada. Sin embargo, un autor necesita capturar ideas ya establecidas en el mundo exterior y desde allí producir su propia visión. Es decir, un autor destaca por su capacidad de percibir y transformar.
Aunque pueda parecer simple para muchos, el mundo no es fácil de escuchar. Todo autor, al formular, busca una idea que le atraiga y, en la mayoría de los casos, le apasione. A partir de aquí, el autor establece un propósito en lo que será su autoría o “creación”. En consecuencia, el autor buscará una dirección en la que pueda desarrollar mejor su idea. Por supuesto, no todos los autores son iguales y no todos se centran en el mismo enfoque.
Los escritores son el tipo de autores más reconocidos. Un escritor trabaja con palabras y expresa ideas a través de historias, incluidas novelas, cuentos, poesía, ensayos e incluso escenas de una obra de teatro. Un escritor puede incursionar en el mundo de la comunicación mediante la producción de ideas. Del mismo modo, artistas musicales, pintores, actores, científicos e incluso cocineros se comunican con el mundo y expresan sus ideas a través de diferentes medios.
Un autor es ese individuo que trae innovación al mundo. Si bien es cierto que un autor se alimenta de las ideas que le rodean, también aporta una parte de su propia perspectiva. El autor contempla la vida y se encarga de plasmar lo que aprende de ella.
Siendo este el caso, todos somos considerados los autores intelectuales de nuestra vida. Nuestras mentes, así como nuestra forma de comportarnos, están influenciadas principalmente por la sociedad, pero eso no nos limita a distinguirnos unos de otros. Los gustos y preferencias hacen de cada persona un ser único y particular con un aporte destacado y digno de mención.
