ELIZABETHTOWN – Cole Brisson pitched a 4-hitter and struck out 8 batters to lead the Braves to a 13-3 Dixie Boys Baseball victory over the Rock Hounds Friday night at County Park.
Chase Bryan was hit by a pitch, and Luke Bryant walked to begin the Braves 1st inning, and Cole Brisson hammered a double that scored Chase Bryan. Devan Stanley walked, and Andrew Wren belted a single that scored Bryant and Cole Brisson for a 3-0 lead.
Delton Murdock blasted a home run to right field in the Rock Hounds 2nd inning to trim the lead to 3-1.
Dalton Ammons led off the Braves’ 2nd inning with a single to right. Jeremiah Bryan knocked in Ammons with a triple, and Chase Moultrie walked. Chase Bryan drilled a double to right that scored Jeremiah Bryan, and Bryant smashed a triple that scored Moultrie and Chase Bryan. Cole Brisson was hit by a pitch, and Devan Stanley slammed a double that scored Bryant and Cole Brisson and pushed the lead to 9-1.
Ashton Bryan walloped a triple in the 3rd inning and scored on Ammons’ fielder’s choice to pad the lead to 10-1.
Omar Powell and Fox Sutton drew walks to start the Rock Hounds’ 4th inning, and Chandler Wall drove in Omar Powell with a single to whittle the lead to 10-2.
Moultrie led off the Braves’ 4th inning with a single. Two outs later Chase Bryan walked, and Bryant smoked a single to center that plated Moultrie. Cole Brisson cracked a single, and Stanley was hit by a pitch. Chase Bryan and Bryant scored to up the count to 13-2.
Braiden Dixon smacked a single and scored the final Rock Hound run in the 5th inning. Dixon batted 2-for-2 to lead the Rock Hound hitters. Murdock slugged the solo home run. Wall added an RBI single, and Omar Powell scored a run.
Bryant batted 2-for-2 with a triple, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored for the Braves. Cole Brisson also finished 2-for-2 with a double, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Ashton Bryan tripled, Jeremiah Bryan, Chase Bryan and Stanley ripped a double each. Wren, Ammons and Moultrie connected for 1 hit each.
Chase Bryan scored 3 runs, Moultrie scored twice, and Ashton Bryan, Ammons and Jeremiah Bryan scored 1 run each. Stanley and Wren drove in 2 runs each. Chase Bryan, Ashton Bryan, Ammons and Jeremiah Bryan had 1 RBI each.
