Five West Bladen Lady Knights and three East Bladen Lady Eagles have been named to the All-Three Rivers Conference girls tennis team.
Selected from West Bladen’s squad that finished 16-2 in league play were juniors Conner Brisson, Savannah Lee and Mireya Sandoval and sophmores Autumn Brisson and Alyssa Smith. Named to the all-league team from East Bladen were juniors Ting Lin and Anna Kate White and senior Jayme LeeAnn Frady.
Conner Brisson and Lee were the Three Rivers Conference doubles champions, then advanced to the semi-finals of the Mid-East Regional doubles tournament and qualified for the state tournament.
Lee posted a 13-3 singles record with 10 of those wins coming while playing No. 2 singles for West Bladen. Conner Brisson had a 13-4 singles record with 11 of those wins coming in No. 1 singles matches.
Autumn Brisson was 14-2 in singles play with 12 of those wins coming in No. 3 singles matches. Autumn Brisson also recorded a 14-3 doubles record while playing No. 2 doubles for the Lady Knights.
Sandoval finished with a 15-2 singles record with 13 of those wins coming in No. 5 singles matches. Sandoval was undefeated (14-0) in doubles matches. Thirteen of those wins came in No. 3 doubles matches.
Smith finished the season with a 12-2 singles record – 10-1 record at No. 6 singles. She was also undefeated 14-0 in doubles play– thirteen of those wins came in No. 3 doubles matches.
Lin and Frady teamed up to finish third in the Three Rivers Conference doubles tournament and qualified for the MidEast Regional. They were the first doubles team ever from East Bladen to advance to regional play.
Lin posted a 12-6 record at No. 2 singles for East Bladen. She also claimed wins in 7 No. 1 doubles matches.
Frady won 4 No. 1 singles matches for the Lady Eagles and also claimed 7 wins while playing No. 1 doubles.
White recorded 4 singles wins at No. 3 singles for East Bladen and won 5 doubles matches while playing No. 2 doubles.
