ORLANDO, FL – Coach Alvin Thompson’s Wake County Cowboys played their final game Thursday and dropped a 16-6 decision to the Los Gatos Cambrian Longhorns in the Pop Warner Football Super Bowl.
Coach Thompson’s Cowboys had won their first game 19-6 over a team from Rockford, IL in the Pop Warner Division 3 Jr. Pee Wee Division. The Cowboys completed play with a 1-1 record.
Coach Thompson is a Bladen County native, and his son, Alvin Thompson Jr., is the starting center for the Cowboys. Alvin Thompson, Jr. is No. 50 in the picture.
