BLADENBORO – Bladenboro’s Rylee Chadwick and McKenzie Singletary combined on a no-hitter Wednesday to lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 13-0 Bladen Five Middle School Conference victory over Tar Heel.

Chadwick struck out 11 and walked one in her four innings of work in the circle. Singletary retired all 3 batters that she faced in the fifth inning.

Chadwick walked, and Lainey Autry belted a single, before Savannah Turbeville knocked them both in with a double in the Bladenboro first inning. Singletary cracked a single that scored Turbeville, and Singletary scored on Kaden Thurman’s fielder’s choice for a 4-0 lead.

Taylor Lewis reached base on an error to begin the Lady Bulldog second, and Chadwick walked. Autry’s fielder’s choice plated Lewis, before Turbeville blasted a 2-run home run for a 7-0 lead.

Lauren Pait smacked a single in the Bladenboro third inning, and Megan West was hit by a pitch. Both runners came around to score and padded the Lady Bulldog lead to 9-0.

Singletary and Megan Pait drew one-out walks in the Bladenboro fourth inning. Thurman followed with a single that loaded the bases. West drew a walk that forced home Singletary, and Emmee Ward was hit by a pitch to force home Megan Pait.

Chadwick smashed a double that scored Thurman and West and boosted the lead to 13-0.

Turbeville walloped a home run and a double to drive in 4 runs, score twice and finished 2-2 at the plate. Lauren Pait batted 2-2 and scored a run. Chadwick doubled home 2 runs and scored twice. Autry, Singletary and Thurman added one hit each.

Autry, Singletary, Thurman and Ward drove in one run each. Singletary and West scored 2 runs each. Autry, Megan Pait, Thurman and Lewis scored one run each.

Madilyn Brisson reached base on an error, and Kylie Duffel walked for Tar Heel. Gracie Faircloth started in the circle for the Lady Panthers.
