West Bladen

Coach Gaye Davis’ Lady Knights entertain Antioch Christian Monday at 4:30 in their season opener. West Bladen finished in fifth place in the Three Rivers Conference last season with an 8-10 record.

Key graduation losses include: Patience Parker (87 kills, 25 aces), Mikayla Winebarger (78 kills, 29 aces), Elizabeth Allbright (72 kills, 29 aces) and Alise Pait (55 kills).

Leading the list of returnees is senior Raegan Davis (166 kills, 66 aces, 32 blocks). Senior Caroline Davis led the Lady Knight defense last year with 267 digs. Also back is junior Lexi Corrothers (55 kills).

East Bladen

Coach Sara Ward begins her first season at the helm of the Lady Eagles Tuesday when East Bladen hosts Hobbton at 4:30 in a non-conference match.

Last year the Lady Eagles compiled a 5-13 Three Rivers Conference record and 6-16 overall mark. Key losses to graduation included Hannah Devane, Kaley Smith and Faith Johnson.

Returnees include: senior Sarah Johnson and juniors Cybil Campbell, Lorna Mendell, Ruth Ward and Gracyn Martin.
