BLADENBORO – West Bladen and Purnell Swett battled to a 1-1 tie Wednesday night in non-conference men’s soccer action.
It was the second time this season that the two teams have played to a deadlock – having played to a 0-0 tie in Pembroke eight days ago.
Johnny Santana fired in a goal midway the first half to put the Knights up 1-0. The Rams tied the score with a second-half goal.
“We played better tonight,” said West Bladen Coach Phillip Turnage. “I feel we are starting to turn the corner for the better.”
The Knights, now 0-2-2, will host Midway Wednesday night.
