BLADENBORO – West Bladen swept Cape Fear Academy 2-0 Wednesday in non-conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 25-14 and 25-20.
Ashlyn Cox fired in 8 service points, 3 kills and an ace for the Lady Knights. Sophmore Alyssa Suggs slammed in 3 kills, 3 aces and 6 service points. Freshman Savannah Turbeville knocked in 5 service points.
Caroline Brisson hammered in 3 kills, an ace and a service point and had 3 digs for the winners. Olivia Allen led the Lady Knight defense with 6 digs. Freshman Hannah Pait belted in 2 service points and a kill.
Taylor West contributed an ace, a kill and a service point. Haleigh Fields pounded in 2 kills, Kaylee Page drilled in 2 aces, and freshman Lauren Pait was credited 2 digs.
“The girls played hard,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “This was a great win for them.”
West Bladen, now 2-3 overall, will travel to Whiteville Thursday for a 4:30 match.
