485 athletes gathered up at the FFA Camp at White Lake to participate in three fall thistles over the weekend. There was two events on Saturday and one on Sunday.

On Saturday at 7 a.m. the White Lake Fall Half 2018 was held. The winner in the men’s division, with a time of 4:08:50, was Gaston Montenegro from Murrell’s Inlet, S.C. The winner in the female division, with a time of 4:55:27, was Julie Nievergelt from Mt. Pleasant, S.C. The Fall Half 2018 consisted of a 1 1/2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run.

On Saturday at 8:30 a.m. the White Lake Fall International 2018 was held. The winner in the men’s division was Ken Younts from Chapel Hill with a time of 2:21:09. The winner in the female division was Alex Doll from Charlotte with a time of 2:33:33. This event was a 1,500 meter swim, 45K bike and a 10K run.

The final event of the weekend, held Sunday, was the White Lake Fall Sprint 2018 which consisted of a 750 meter swim, a 14 mile bike and an 8K run. The winner in the men’s division was Drew Brasher from Charlotte with a time of 1:09:16. The female winner was Karen Salmon from Cornelius with a time of 1:38:20.
