East Bladen swept both ends of a double-header by scores of 9-1 and 5-1 over visiting Loris, SC in Dixie Pre-Majors Baseball action Thursday night.
Sincere Smith pitched all 5 innings of the first game to pick up the win. Smith also slammed a double and a single to aid the Eagle cause.
Teammate Nikita Owens hammered a triple and a single, and catcher Kyle Tatum cracked 3 hits to lead the East Bladen hitters. Xavier Wooten also connected for 2 hits for the winners.
Alex Coates pitched all 3 innings for the Eagles in the second game. The field lights went out in the third inning to end the game.
The Eagles improve to 3-1 with the victory and will host West Bladen Monday at 6 p.m.
