RUSTON, La. – The AUM-Montgomery team from Alabama that defeated Elizabethtown 2-0 in its opening game last Saturday in the Dixie Youth AAA World Series went on to win the championship, beating Mississippi 4-2 in the title game.
After the win over Elizabethtown, Alabama defeated Mississippi 2-1, Florida 7-1, and South Carolina 4-2, before dropping a 7-3 decision to Mississippi. However, Alabama rebounded to win the title.
