ELIZABETHTOWN – Sophomore Timothy McLean raced 70 yards for a touchdown on East Bladen’s first play from scrimmage, and the Eagles never looked back en route to a 30-8 nonconference junior varsity football victory over Clinton.

Sophomore Cory Ballard scored a pair of touchdowns for the Eagles – one on a 5-yard run. Ballard’s second touchdown came at the end of the first half when he caught a 20-yard TD pass from freshman halfback Javius Brooks.

Freshman NyQuan Richardson ran 3 yards for the other East Bladen touchdown. McLean and Ballard scored one 2-point conversion each.

Clinton scored on a 50-yard touchdown pass. “The defense played real good,” said Eagle Coach Ritchie Priest. “Other than that one long pass they didn’t move the ball.”

Sophomore Ahmad Powell intercepted a pass for East Bladen.

The Eagles evened their record at 1-1.
