RED SPRINGS – East Bladen defeated Red Springs 2-0 on Thursday night in Three Rivers Conference junior varsity volleyball action by set scores of 25-22 and 25-13.
Freshman Emma Turbeville fired in 7 aces, 6 service points, a kill and had one dig to lead the Lady Eagles. Sophomore Merritt Martin knocked in 6 service points, 2 kills and an ace.
Freshman Maegan Burney hammered in 5 service points and an ace for the winners. Freshman Karli Priest drilled in 3 aces and a service point.
Cheyanne Merritt pounded in 2 kills and 2 aces for East Bladen. Freshman AnnaGrey Heustess slammed in 2 kills and a service point.
The Lady Eagles will host West Columbus on Tuesday.
