WHITEVILLE – Andre Moore and Hezekiah Adams sparked a 15-6 third-period rally that propelled Bladenboro to a 35-34 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys basketball victory over Williams Township Monday night.

The Aggies led 19-13 at halftime, but Moore buried a 3-point shot and a pair of 2-point baskets, and Adams threw in a trio of baskets as the Bulldogs took a 28-25 lead.

Landon Stanley connected for a 2-point basket in the third quarter then nailed a 3-point shot in the final period. Adams and Moore popped in baskets to keep Bladenboro ahead.

Adams paced the balanced Bulldog attack with 12 points, and Stanley followed with 11 points. Moore finished with 9 points.

Stanley burnt the nets with a trio of first period baskets, but Demetrius Williams scored 6 of his game-high 17 points in the opening quarter to give the Aggies an early 10-6 lead.

Adams pumped in a pair of second quarter baskets for the Bulldogs, but 4 more points from Demetrius Williams kept the Aggies on top at halftime.

Coach Joseph Gore’s Bulldogs are now 2-0 on the season (1-0 in AA Division play) and will host West Columbus on Jan. 9th.
