WILSON – Tar Heel native Trevor Lesane doubled and drove in 2 runs Wednesday, but his Erskine Flying Fleet dropped the 2nd game of a Conference Carolinas double-header 5-4 to Barton College.

Lesane was hit by a pitch in the 1st inning with the bases loaded to force home Drew Yniesta and give Erskine a 3-0 lead.

The former West Bladen star hammered a double to left-centerfield in the 3rd inning that drove in Dayan Reinos and stretched the lead to 4-0. Lesane then stole 3rd base but was left stranded.

Lesane walked in the 7th inning after Barton scored 3 runs in the 6th to take a 5-4 lead.  Erskine won the opening game of the double-header 10-6.

On the season Lesane is batting .352 with 19 hits, 11 runs, 13 runs batted in, 5 doubles, and 6 stolen bases with a .481 slugging percentage.

Erskine, now 10-6 in conference play and 13-11 overall, will travel to King University in Bristol, TN for Conference Carolinas double-headers Friday and Saturday.
